Creating an Event (for group leaders)

Video Transcript

Thanks for joining us for another My Bent Tree Help video. In this video for group leaders, we’ll be walking through how to create a group event. Please note that this information is not visible to group members, only to group leaders.

Start by logging in, if you haven’t already. On the dashboard page, click on the green circle that says “My Connections.” Your connections are grouped into three categories: Events, Groups, and Serving opportunities. Click on the grey bar that says “Groups” to see all the groups you have signed up for, then select the group you want to create an event. Click on the “Events” tab at the top of the page.

In the bottom left, click the green “Create Meeting” button. Enter in the fields. For “Frequency,” you can choose weekly or monthly to prevent having to set up the meetings individually. Once you have the info entered, click the green “create meeting” button on the bottom right.

You should now be able to view your event by clicking the “Events” tab at the top of the page, and scrolling through the calendar to the day of the event.
