How do I add a circle to my dashboard?
To add a circle to your dashboard, click "Customize" in the top left under the "Dashboard" text. You can also click the +Add Item bar at the bottom of your screen. The customizable dashboard tray will open, and you can click on the available circles to add them to your dashboard.
How do I delete a circle from my dashboard?
To edit the circles on your dashboard, click "Customize" in the top left under the "Dashboard" text. You can also click the +Add Item bar at the bottom of your screen. The customizable dashboard tray will open, and you can remove, edit, or add a new circle from the available options.Why can't I remove a circle from my dashboard?
Some of the circles that display on your dashboard are locked, and you won't be able to remove those. We think they're really important, and want to make sure you have easy access to what's available!I'm trying to find ______ but I don't see it on my dashboard.
The default circles that display on your dashboard aren't exhaustive. If you're looking for something and don't see it, use the navigation items at the top (Dashboard, Account, Connect, Missions, Give). You can also customize your dashboard circles by clicking "Customize" in the top left or using the +Add Item feature at the bottom. - Account FAQs
How do I update my personal information?
Access your user profile by clicking on "Account" from the top navigation, and selecting the "User Profile" circle to edit your information. You can edit items like your name, address, email, phone number, date of birth, marital status, spouse name and anniversary, and campus. You can even add a picture!
How do I subscribe to an email (such as Pete's Weekly Email)?
Edit your user email subscriptions by clicking on "Account" from the top navigation, and selecting the "Email Preferences" circle. For each newsletter, choose "Yes" to subscribe, or "No" to unsubscribe. Then click the "Update Subscriptions" button at the bottom of the page to save.
How do I unsubscribe from an email list?
You can unsubscribe from an email list by clicking on "Account" from the top navigation, and selecting the "Email Preferences" circle. For each newsletter you want to unsubscribe from, click "No", then click the "Update Subscriptions" button at the bottom of the page to save.
How do I sign up to be baptized?
Each Bent Tree campus has a separate baptism process, and celebrates at different times throughout the year. Visit our Water Baptism page to learn more, and select your campus to start the process. - Connect FAQs
I'm looking for a specific event. How do I find it?
The Calendar has all our events. To access it, click on "Connect" from the top navigation, and select the "Calendar" circle. To search for a specific event, type all or part of the event name in the search field above the Calendar. The results will be listed to the right. Click on each event for more information, registration links (if applicable), or a link to add it to your calendar online.
I'm seeing events that aren't at my campus. How do I change that?
Events on the calendar are automatically filtered to the campus you've selected in your My Bent Tree user profile. To access your user profile, click on "Account" from the top navigation, and select the "User Profile" circle. Find the campus field, and choose the correct campus from the drop-down options.
How do I see the event(s) I'm registered for?
Your registered events are all listed under "My Connections." Click on "Connect" from the top navigation, and select the "My Connections" circle. Clicking the Events bar will display all the events you have registered for. There are also links for the primary contact for the event, a cancel link, and a link to view your invoice (if applicable).
I want to get connected with a group. What are my options?
Browse our open groups by clicking on "Connect" from the top navigation, and selecting the "Groups" circle. The listed groups will automatically filter to show those available at your selected campus (editible on your user profile). You can also filter your search for groups by demographic, group size, focus, meeting day and time, and location. Click on the green "Filter" button, then use the drop-down fields to narrow your search.
I'm seeing groups that aren't for my campus. How do I change that?
Groups are automatically filtered to the campus you've selected in your My Bent Tree user profile. To access your user profile, click on "Account" from the top navigation, and select the "User Profile" circle. Find the campus field, and choose the correct campus from the drop-down options.
I'm looking at a specific group, but not ready to sign up. How do I ask a question?
You can contact the leader of a group you're interested in from the Groups page. Click on the group you like in the results. In the box that appears, click on the green "Contact This Group" button. Then use the form that displays below to ask a question.
How do I sign up for a group?
Group sign-ups are available on the Groups page. Click on the group you like in the results. In the box that appears, click on the green "Sign Up!" button. Then fill out the form that displays below and click the green "Submit" button.
How do I see what group(s) I'm signed up for?
Your groups are all listed under "My Connections." Click on "Connect" from the top navigation, and select the "My Connections" circle. Clicking the Groups bar will display all the groups you have signed up for. There are also links for the primary contact for the event, and a link to leave the group.
How do I see what serving opportunities are available?
The Serve page lists all serving opportunities. To access it, click on "Connect" from the top navigation, and select the "Serve" circle. To narrow your search, click the green "Filter" button, and use the drop-downs to search by duration (ongoing or seasonal), age range (all or child-friendly) and location (on campus or off campus). To search for a specific service opportunity, type all or part of the name in the search field above the list of opportunities. Click on each opportunity for more information and a sign-up link.
I'm seeing serving opportunities that aren't for my campus. How do I change that?

To access your user profile, click on "Account" from the top navigation, and select the "User Profile" circle. Find the campus field, and choose the correct campus from the drop-down options.
I want to serve alongside my young children. Are there any opportunities like that available?
We occassionally have serving opportunities that are great for the whole family. To see if any are available, click the green "Filter" button on the Serve page, then use the Age Range drop-down to sort the results by Child Friendly opportunities.
How do I sign up for a serving opportunity?
Service opportunity sign-ups are available on the Serve page. Click on the opportunity in the results. In the box that appears, click on the green "Sign Up!" button. Then fill out the form that displays below and click the green "Submit" button.
How do I see what serving opportunities I'm signed up for?

How do I give to a Mission Journey?
Give online to a Mission Journey by clicking on "Missions" from the top navigation, and selecting the "Give: Mission Journey" circle. This circle is also available under "Give" in the top navigation.
How do I learn more about Faith Promise?
You can learn more about Faith Promise by going to benttree.org, clicking on "Missions" from the top menu, and scrolling to the Faith Promise section. We've also included a circle in My Bent Tree with the link. Click on "Missions" from the top navigation, and select the "Faith Promise circle to go straight to the Faith Promise section on benttree.org.
I'm going on a Mission Journey! How do I see all my information?Congratulations! You can see all your Mission Journey information under "Missions" by clicking on the circle with your Journey name on it (for example, Cambodia). You'll see your team members, progress on support raised, meeting dates, and everything else you'll need to know.

How do I give online?
All our online giving options are available on the Give page. Click on "Give" from the top navigation, and select the "Give" circle. Choose the correct tab to make a one-time donation, give to a mission journey, set up or edit recurring giving, or change your giving user info.
How do I give to a Mission Journey?
Mission Journey giving options are available from both the Give and Missions pages. Choose either route - they both will take you to the same place.
To access from the Give page, click on "Give" from the top navigation, and select the "Give" circle. Choose the Mission Journeys tab and use the form below to give to a specific mission journey or participant.
To access Mission Journey giving from the Missions page, click on "Missions" from the top navigation, and select the "Give: Mission Journeys" circle. The Mission Journeys tab should already be selected. Use the form below to give to a specific mission journey or participant.
How do I give to The Gift campaign?
Online donations designated to the Expansion fund go to The Gift campaign. Choose "Give" from the top navigation, and select the "Give" circle. Click on the One-Time tab to donate once, and choose Expansion Fund from the Fund Designation drop-down.
You can also set up a recurring gift by clicking on the Recurring tab on the same page. Click the New Recurring Donation button, and use the form to set up the gift and Fund.
How do I give to Faith Promise?
Online donations designated to Faith Promise fund our missionaries and worldwide outreach. Choose "Give" from the top navigation, and select the "Give" circle. Click on the One-Time tab to donate once, and choose Faith Promise Fund from the Fund Designation drop-down.
You can also set up a recurring gift by clicking on the Recurring tab on the same page. Click the New Recurring Donation button, and use the form to set up the gift and Fund.
How do I give to the other funds (general, benevolence, etc.)
Online donations can be made to the General and Benevolence funds. The General Fund (GF) funds our our day to day ministry operations, and the Benevolence Fund (BEN) helps meet emergency needs of our members and regular attenders.
Choose "Give" from the top navigation, and select the "Give" circle. Click on the One-Time tab to donate once, and choose General Fund or Benevolence Fund from the Fund Designation drop-down.
You can also set up a recurring gift by clicking on the Recurring tab on the same page. Click the New Recurring Donation button, and use the form to set up the gift and Fund you'd like to donate to.How do I create a new pledge?
New pledges can be created on the Pledge page. Click on "Give" from the top navigation, and select the "Pledge" circle. Click the green “Create Pledge” button on the bottom right, then designate the pledge campaign, amount, and frequency. Clicking the green “Create Pledge” button at the bottom of the form will make the pledge active for your user.
How do I see how much of my pledge I've given towards?
All your pledge information is available on the Pledge page. Click on "Give" from the top navigation, and select the "Pledge" circle. If you have an active pledge, click the "More" link on the right to see the total pledge amount and how much you've given towards the pledge.How do I see my giving history?
All financial records are available on the My Records page. Click on "Give" from the top navigation, and select the "My Records" circle. Clicking on the Charitable Giving bar will show you all tax-deductible donations made to Bent Tree for the statement year selected in the drop-down. You can also select or un-select the Get Statement Online option in the bottom left to change your preference on receiving paper statements.How do I get my contribution statement for taxes?
All financial records are available on the My Records page. Click on "Give" from the top navigation, and select the "My Records" circle. Clicking on the Charitable Giving bar will show you all tax-deductible donations made to Bent Tree for the statement year selected in the drop-down. Click the green "Get Contribution Statement" button in the bottom right to generate your tax contribution statement. You can also select or un-select the Get Statement Online option in the bottom left to change your preference on receiving paper statements.I registered for a paid event. How do I find info on that?

Clicking on the Purchases bar will show you all non-tax-deductible purchases (such as an event registration fee) made to Bent Tree for the year selected in the drop-down. Click the More link on the right of each purchase to see more invoice information for each.Why do I have to log in to give online?
The security of your personal and financial information is important to us. Your log-in helps to protect your information while providing you with an uncomplicated environment to give in the method of your choosing.
Does online giving cost Bent Tree money?
Yes, Bent Tree incurs a small fee for each online gift. Giving online is a great convenience but it does cost for each transaction. The percentage Bent Tree pays to our payment processor depends on the transaction type. Fees are the least for e-checks. Debit and credit card fees can range from 1.5% to 3.5% of the total gift, with reward cards being at the high end. You can automate your giving without fees by using your bank’s online bill pay system.Can I use my bank’s auto bill pay system?
Absolutely. Here is the information you will need to set it up: Our mailing address is 4141 International Pkwy, Carrollton, TX 75007. You can designate your gift to one or more of our funds in the account number field just like you would on the memo line if you were handwriting a check.How will I know that my gift was set up correctly?
You will receive a confirmation email when your gift is processed. For future recurring giving, you can access your information on the Give page by clicking on the Recurring tab.Can I change or edit a recurring gift?
Yes. Click on "Give" from the top navigation, and select the "Give" circle. Click on the Recurring tab, then select the icon under the Action column next to the recurring gift you want to change to edit it.Can I get my giving statement online?
Yes. Your giving summary is available at any time on the My Records page. Click on "Give" from the top navigation, and select the "My Records" circle. Selecting the Charitable Giving bar will display your giving history, and provide a "Get Contribution Statement" button in the bottom right.Can I mail my donation?
